Our team have been excitedly setting up the newest addition to the CREAT3D showroom: the Formlabs Fuse 1 SLS 3D printer!
The Fuse 1 and accompanying Fuse Sift sit alongside the Formlabs SLA section of the showroom. With the Fuse 1, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printing technology is accessible and easy to use.
The Fuse 1 is an affordable, compact Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer, ideal for industrial-quality prototyping and production. With the ability to produce final parts that combine strength, flexibility, and detail, Fuse 1 prints are ready for rigorous functional testing, or to ship ready-to-use products.
The Fuse Sift, accompanying the Fuse 1, is a safe and efficient powder recovery system. The Fuse Sift enables the production of functional parts at a 30% powder refresh rate, with unlimited cycles. This means that the user can can print with up to 70% recycled powder - great for saving costs and material!
The Fuse 1 has the option of two powder materials: Nylon 11 and Nylon 12. Both of these materials are ideal for 3D printing ductile, robust parts, and are certified biocompatible.
Nylon 11 is best suited for printing parts that need to bend or take impact, whilst Nylon 12 is more suitable for creating complex assemblies and durable parts with minimal water absorption.
Our team have already begun running some complex test prints, making full use of the 'no supports requires' SLS process. Stay tuned to see the end results!
